The GRG121DX is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2012. It is as part of the entry-level GIO line.
The GRG121DX features a one-piece maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with sharktooth inlays and two covered humbuckers with a 3-way selector switch. It is a hard-tail model.
For 2018 the rosewood fingerboard was replaced with treated New Zealand pine and bridge was replaced by the F106. For 2019 the 3-way pickup selector was swapped out for a 5-way lever. For 2020 the fretboard was changed to purpleheart.
